Ryan Schutz
Executive Director
Ryan Schutz brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience to his role as Executive Director of Sustainable Resilient Longmont. He has been a consultant and leader of volunteer-driven nonprofit organizations, working at the intersection of social justice, transportation, and public lands access. Ryan previously served as the Executive Director of Bikes Together, a network of recyclery-style nonprofit bike shops in Denver, and oversaw building a national network of local grassroots organizations for the International Mountain Bicycling Association. He started organizing people for the greater good in 1997 and never stopped. Ryan holds a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a BA from Florida Atlantic University. Born in Kentucky and raised throughout the South, Ryan has lived in Colorado since 2007, and currently resides in Boulder with his family. Ryan is an outdoor enthusiast and likes to fill his free time with family fun; you will usually find him outside.
