Gina Burrows, Events and Outreach Manager
Gina joined SRL as the Events Coordinator in July 2023 and has since organized Electrify Longmont, the Longmont Sustainability Awards, and Longmont Earth Day. She is the chair of the Earth Action Team and works with the Board on various projects such as website updates, newsletter writing, marketing, and grant writing. Outside of SRL, Gina currently serves on 4 local boards and committees, in addition to homeschooling her twin daughters. Prior to joining SRL, Gina had a leading role on a local non-profit parents group board for 5 years. Her educational background is a PhD in environmental geochemistry from Old Dominion University, followed by a Postdoctoral fellowship at Colorado State University. You will often see Gina riding around Longmont on her cargo bike. In her spare time, she enjoys growing her own food in her 23 raised bed garden, knitting apparel, hiking the many trails in Colorado, and traveling the world.
