2022 Longmont Earth Day Celebration Report

The 8th Annual Longmont Earth Day Celebration may be history, but it won't soon be forgotten. Over 800 attendees, 80 volunteers, and 5 little goats went home with fun memories, a fresh connection to our Longmont community, and some renewed motivation to do what's right for Mother Earth - and our neighbors.

Jeff and Paige kicked off the event with music for a packed auditorium and set the tone for a joyous, energetic event that ended with a 40-member strong March for Mother Earth in gale force winds that ripped signs from demonstrators' hands and even blew over a little participant with a big sign.

The Left Hand Creek clean up set an SRL record, with 46 volunteers collecting 51 bags of trash, 5 bags of recycling, and 5 bags of compost (each bag holds 35 gallons!!!)!

Thanks to Longmont for bringing the love, and thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and partner organizations for making it all possible!

Now let's try to Make Earth Day Every Day!!!

Check out our Earth Day 2022 Film Festival playlist if you need some inspiration.
